What a Christmas!!!!

Whew!!!!!!!!!! What a Christmas this has been. With the 7 hours to go over the hills and through the woods to Grandma's House we went. (Which only should have taken 3 1\2hours.) We made it live and a little tired for the festivities to begin on Christmas eve at Grandma Blairs house. Here is a few pictures of that night:

It snowed, and snowed and snowed

It seems that old man winter has hit Boardman. It all started Friday night and some into Saturday and a little more Sunday. Sunday night is when it all started to come down in bucketfuls. Monday has not quit snowing. We probably have 3-4 inches of snow. It is very, very, cold. The wind in blowing which makes it colder. About a -3 cold.
The plans we had for Christmas have changed to staying home this Christmas holiday. Jordan got his wish. Hopefully we can see all of you this summer and we can keep in touch other ways.

It has been a long time!!

Well it has been along time since I have got on here and wrote something! I have had some people comment on how I need to get on here and update all of you on how we are doing.
Well where do I start.
Everyone is doing well and is alive. It has been a whirlwind for me, I have been working since the first day of school. I have been working as a substitute for the high school then the Elementary school that our 4-6 grades go to. I have been working in the Special Ed room with a 13 year old girl. it has been fun. I love working with the children they are so funny and challenging at the same time. Along with trying to pass my work keys test. In order to work or be hired as a full time employee you have to have a two year degree or be able to pass this work keys test. I have passed two of the three tests. The math test is the one I have to re-take. I suck at Math it is algebra that I have to pass and it has been hard to even comprehend or grasp algebra.
Yesterday I found out that the school district I have been subbing for Will not be hiring for 7 position that are int he district due to budget cuts. I was a little disappointed since I was trying really hard to get a job.

Along with trying to get a job I find out that I have a disc in my neck that is half the size it is supposes to be and having alot of discomfort. The technical term is thoracic outlet. Which just means I have a disc that is not normal and is pushed back into my spinal column. The Dr says it can get better with Physical therapy but I'm not getting any better. I have to sleep in a reclining chair so that it doesn't make my arms and hand go numb. It hasn't been fun. I hope that I don't have to have surgery.

Nathen is still working for the sheriff office. He is now a certified police officer. He still loves his job. He has been also promoted to the scout master for our ward. So he has that big job to tackle also. oh I failed to mention that Nathen is getting a new patrol car, a charger. OH man I can't for a ride in that baby and get to drive code somewhere in that car. When he gets it I'll post the picture.


Jordan is doing good in school, this year seems to be much better than last year. Jordan had a crush on a girl that really keep him in line. Her family moved to Arizona this last weekend. Jordan was really bummed out and missing her. The thing that is funny is this girl was a ball of fire. She was smart and full of energy a lot like Cassidy. I couldn't understand why he like her but The month and a half I worked at the High school I got to know a lot of kids and I could see why he like her. She was a great girl. Hopefully they can keep in touch with each other.
Jordan played football this year, his team was un-defeated. won ever game! Go pirates!!! Jordan broke his finger that last two weeks of the season and had to quit because of the injury. So another trip to the ER. That would make two this year. Thank goodness for Aflac!!
Jordan is a big help to me and is always looking out for me. He is a good kid!


Cassidy, were do I start with Cassidy. Cassidy is 11 and boy oh boy do you know it. Her year in school has been a little shaky. Cassidy has a mouth on her that just doesn't stop she is finding out just how friends are and how they treat others. One of those hard lessons we all had to learn at the age. Cassidy has attitude that just wont quit and she argues with everything anyone says. I'm at the point I want to hang her up by her toe nails. So all of you that have girls, BEWARE because from 6th grade to 8th grade the aliens come and get them and they are not your child between those times. She is so ready to be out of primary and into Young Womans. She asks me about shaving her legs and wearing make-up and I tell her nope not until you are 12. When did 12 become the new 16? Cassidy is a reader she loves to read, she love scary books, hence she is a afraid of the dark because of it. She has to feed to dogs before it gets dark otherwise she gets scared. All in all she is a good girl and has a good heart. I just hope the aliens bring her back soon!!!!
All in all we have good kids. Nathen reminded me that Jordan has 5 years left of High School and Cassidy has 6 years of school left. Now if that reality doesn't hit you like a ton of bricks I don't know what does.
Hopefully this next year will bring many blessings and we can have some fun and get to see all of our family this year.
Nathen and I are excited this year for Christmas, we decided to get a Wii, but do you think we could find one anywhere, NO! So we had a brainstorm, Gma and Gpa Moore get a 10% discount from Fred's so we thought we would call them up to see if they could pick one up for us. NOPE, Fred's didn't have one, that is how fast they are flying off the shelves. can you imagine the poor works at the factory making these things! They had to go to best buy to find one. Hopefully it will be a fun gift for all of us and we will find lots of game to play

I thought this would be better than the website since no one else wants to participate in that.
This is the Braun family from Boardman. We are all doing well, Nathen has started his 3 week at the police academy and is doing well. His over all grade average is a 96%. So he is doing good.
I'm doing ok, it is hard to be a single mom during the week but I'm doing ok with it. Trying to keep myself busy with various projects.
The kids are doing good too. there birthdays are closely coming upon us. Jordan is going to be 13 (teen), yes 13-teen) A teenager! Holy smokes can't believe he is going to be that old, which in turn makes me old. That is something!
Cassidy is going to be 11 this year, pre-teen. going through it all at the same time!
